Port Orange Artists Open Studios for Weekend Art Tour
Port Orange residents can get up close and personal with several area artists participating in the 7th Annual Off the Beaten Path Florida Arts Tour Saturday, Feb. 10, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 11, from noon to 5 p.m.
The free and self-guided tour offers a glimpse inside the private studios of painters, sculptors, printmakers, potters, and photographers who are located “off the beaten path.” Some locations will also feature demonstrations and provide information about classes and workshops.
In East Volusia, the tour will feature artists from Ormond Beach, Port Orange, New Smyrna Beach, and Edgewater.
Port Orange artists opening their studios for the tour include:
Carolyn A. Land (mixed media, pastel), 5420 Swordfern Ct,
Deborah Elmquist (painting, oil), 5889 S. Williamson Blvd., Suite 1324
Kelly Berning (clay, figurative sculpture), 619 Renner Rd.
Trent Berning (clay, functional), 619 Renner Rd.
Beau Wild (painting, non-objective and figurative abstract), 5960 Riverside Dr.
The tour is a grassroots effort created by community patrons along with a federation of artists with a goal to showcase and increase awareness and appreciation of central Florida’s finest professional and emerging artists.
