Creekside Middle Wins MathCounts Competition
The Creekside Middle School team brought home first place in the annual MathCounts Competition Feb. 3 at Ormond Beach Middle School. More than 50 students participated in the event.
The first and second place team winners, along with the top four individual winners, will advance to compete in the state competition March 23 in Daytona Beach. The top four individual winners were Wend Zhang, Heritage Middle School; Isaac Dorfman, Ormond Beach Middle School, Eric Chen and Cody McCafferty, both of Creekside Middle School.
The first place team from Creekside, coached by Donna Bianchi, includes Ethan Alves, Peter Novak, Sofia Baker, Cody McCafferty, Lilliana Barnes, Eric Chen, Emma Smith, Vartika Narang, Baylee Behrens, Jenny Liu. Heritage Middle School, Deltona, took second place. |
