ONE DAYTONA announced Tuesday its second annual art festival partnering up with Gallery500, a contemporary fine art gallery at ONE DAYTONA. The art festival will be held on November 13 and 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
According to a release, the juried and non-juried outdoor fine art show will coincide with the Welcome to Rockville Festival to be held at Daytona International Speedway.
Back in November 2020, the inaugural ONE DAYTONA Art Festival drew over 90 artists and provided significant donations to the area’s arts education including $15,000 donated to Volusia County Schools Visual Arts Program and $5,000 to ArtHaus.
“The Art Festival has become a signature event for ONE DAYTONA and one that local, regional and national artists have now circled on their calendars,” stated Lesa Kennedy, Gallery500 Owner. “We are very proud to be a part of Volusia County’s diverse arts community and the incredible talent here which led to a very successful inaugural festival. We are excited to announce that we are building upon this program and adding another arts and crafts festival in the spring of 2022.”
The spring arts and crafts festival will be held on April 2 and 3, 2022, and will be a non-juried event.
Welcoming residents and visitors to experience a weekend of art and culture, the free ONE DAYTONA Art Festival will feature over 100 fine artists and fine craft artisans, live entertainment, and a classic car show.
The juried show will award $10,000 in cash including Best in Show at $1,500; eight Awards of Distinction at $750 and five Awards of Merit at $500.
The festival stage in ONE DAYTONA’s Victory Circle will feature live entertainment on both days and the weekend’s festivities will include a student art exhibit, a creative Kidszone with hands-on art projects, and a Patron program.
Interested artists may apply online. For more information on sponsorships and the Patron program, please contact Roxanne Ribakoff (386) 681-4814 or rribakoff@onedaytona.com.
