In a unique and intimate showcase of creativity, 26 talented artists in East Volusia County will unveil their private working studios to the public during the annual Off the Beaten Path Florida Arts Tour. This eagerly anticipated event, free of charge and open to visitors of all ages, provides a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the vibrant world of local artistry.
Scheduled for Saturday, February 10, and Sunday, February 11, the studios will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. across Ormond Beach, Port Orange, New Smyrna Beach, and Edgewater.
The self-guided tour allows patrons to tailor their experience by planning their itinerary. Descriptions of the artworks, street addresses, and an interactive map are available at www.ArtsTours.org. With this user-friendly platform, studio visitors can effortlessly browse lists of participating artists and navigate through easy-to-follow maps on their mobile devices, ensuring a seamless journey from one artistic haven to another.
"The tours have been growing rapidly in popularity every year. After a couple of quiet years due to Covid restrictions, people are once again getting out, exploring, and discovering new ideas," said John Wilton, an artist and spokesperson for the event.
Art enthusiasts, collectors, curators, families, and children are all invited to engage with the artists in their work environments. Attendees can anticipate meeting the creators, witnessing live demonstrations, indulging in light refreshments, and exploring unique, original works of art. The various mediums of artwork include paintings, sculptures, textiles, jewelry, ceramics, woodwork, photography, printmaking, and illustration.
For additional information, visit the event's website, www.ArtsTours.org, where visitors can find details about the participating artists, their studios, and the diverse artworks showcased during the Off the Beaten Path Florida Arts Tour.
