Volusia County Schools to host School Choice Fairs discussing K-8 public school options

Volusia County Schools has announced plans for hosting two School Choice Fairs meant to inform parents of their school choice options and various quality programs offered at district elementary and middle schools, including the district's online program.
According to a release, the first event is scheduled for Thursday, November 4th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for families on the county's eastside at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach. For families on the county's westside, the second School Choice Fair is scheduled for Tuesday, November 30th, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Sanborn Activity Center in DeLand. Principals, assistant principals, and staff from participating schools, along with program specialists, will be at the School Choice Fairs to answer any questions about school options for the upcoming school year.
Free entertainment, an art exhibit, door prizes, giveaways will take place during the event. Admission and parking for both events are free. Families attending a School Choice Fair will receive priority placement in their school of choice for the 2022 – 2023 school year.
