New Smyrna Beach COVID-19 free test site open on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
The free COVID-19 testing site, located at the City Gym in New Smyrna Beach, off Live Oak Street, will be open on Friday, December 24, and Friday, December 31, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., for those wishing to get tested before traveling and attending family gatherings.
The site has processed 6,438 tests since October 7, with 1,016 administered recently.
Visitors can receive PCR and antigen testing with a 24 to 48-hour turnaround for PCR tests and a 1-hour turnaround for antigen. Appointments are not required, but individuals must bring an insurance card. If they do not have one, staff will not turn them away.
Those looking to receive a test may pre-register by visiting www.nomihealth.com/fl and selecting their location.
