Waste Pro's Holiday route adjustments announced across Volusia County.

As the holiday season unfolds, Waste Pro is implementing route changes in light of Christmas and New Year's Day. Waste Pro's administrative office will be closed on December 25, 2023, in observance of Christmas Day and on January 1, 2024, for New Year's Day.
For a smooth transition of waste collection services during the holiday period, residents of various areas in Volusia County should take note of the modified collection schedules in their respective municipalities:
- Daytona Beach: There is no garbage collection on Monday, December 25, 2023, or Monday, January 1, 2024. Monday's route is moved to Tuesday, and Tuesday's collection to Wednesday. Wednesday's regular yard waste collection will be rescheduled to Saturday, December 30, and January 6. There are no changes for Thursday and Friday collections. Live trees can be placed curbside for pickup on December 30, with all decorations removed.
- DeLand: There is no waste collection on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Normal trash removal schedules will resume on the following business day.
- Edgewater: There is no waste collection on Monday, December 25, 2023, and January 1, 2024. There will be a one-day delay for collections throughout the week.
- Holly Hill: There will be no waste collection on December 25, 2023, and January 1, 2024. Makeup days for garbage collection will be on the next collection day for household waste, yard waste, and recycled items.
- New Smyrna Beach: There is no solid waste collection on Monday, December 25, 2023, and January 1, 2024. Makeup days will be on Saturday, December 30, and January 6.
- Ormond Beach: Trash will not be picked up on Christmas or New Year's Days. Monday's routes will be picked up on Tuesday, Tuesday's routes will be picked up on Wednesday, and Wednesday's routes will be picked up on Saturday for both weeks.
- Port Orange: There is no garbage, yard waste, or recycling on December 25, 2023, or January 1, 2024. Makeup days will be on December 26, 2022, and January 2, 2024. Regular Tuesday pickup is moved to Wednesday, December 27, and Wednesday, January 3. Regular Wednesday pickup moved to Saturday, December 30, 2023, and January 6, 2024. There is no change to Thursday or Friday pickup.
- South Daytona: There is no pickup on Christmas Day or New Year's Day. Monday's routes have been changed to Saturday, December 30, and January 6.
- Unincorporated Volusia County: There is no garbage, recycling, or yard trash collection for residents on Christmas and New Year's days. Collection days scheduled between December 25 and January 5 will be the following day. All bins must be curbside by 6:00 a.m.
The Tomoka Landfill and West Volusia Transfer Station will also be closed on Christmas and New Year's Day. For more information, residents can contact Volusia County’s Solid Waste Division at 386-943-7889 or visit www.volusia.org/recycle.
