Volusia County Parks, Recreation and Culture is delighted to announce the triumphant reopening of Lake Beresford Park, located at 2100 Fatio Road in DeLand. The park, which temporarily shuttered its gates to facilitate the DeLand SunRail expansion project, has undergone a series of enhancements and maintenance efforts during its closure. Volusia County staff utilized the downtime to complete a comprehensive list of maintenance projects, like repairing the park's water system.
With the construction phase completed, Lake Beresford Park is ready to welcome guests to its revitalized and improved surroundings.
Visitors can utilize the park's amenities, including two well-equipped playground areas, two spacious pavilions, and an internal 1.8-mile multi-use paved trail. Nature enthusiasts can explore two scenic nature trails, immersing themselves in the park's lush surroundings. Moreover, Lake Beresford Park seamlessly connects to the Spring-to-Spring Trail, providing patrons with a delightful three-mile route for walking, biking, or skating to Blue Spring State Park in Orange City.
Lake Beresford Park operates daily, inviting guests to experience its charms from sunrise to sunset.
