Accidental alarm triggers large police response at Creekside Middle School.

The Port Orange Police Department took to Facebook earlier today to inform the community that a staff member at Creekside Middle School accidentally triggered an active assailant alarm, which resulted in a significant police response.
The incident unfolded at approximately 11:30 a.m. local time when the alarm went off. Authorities are assuring parents and guardians there is no immediate threat to the safety of the students.
