Volusia County Human Services and Veteran Services to Schedule Appointments as of March 23.

Effective Monday, March 23, the offices of Human Services and Veteran Services throughout Volusia County will begin Scheduling appointments.
Veteran Services Offices will be providing all walk-in appointments with a scheduled appointment time, or clients can schedule their appointment by calling (386) 254-4646 or (386) 740-5102. Phones will be answered 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and appointments can be scheduled at all four office locations.
Human Services will begin scheduling telephone or in-person appointments, for any household seeking emergency financial assistance, at any of the four office locations in the county. Clients can call (386) 239-7757, and phones will be answered 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Appointments can be scheduled no further than the Friday of the following week.
The maximum award amount has been increased for emergency utilities and rental/mortgage assistance for households with a coronavirus hardship. Hardship must be documented during the appointment, and client waive4r forms are available to allow staff to complete applications on a household’s behalf without original signatures.
Birth Certificates, Driver License’s, Social Security Cards, and (any) income documentation is still required to be submitted. A secure online portal will be established to accept this documentation as soon as possible.
