Vehicle of missing Port Orange teacher found.

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office has announced that they have found the vehicle of Robert Heikka, a well-known teacher from Creekside Middle in Port Orange who went missing from his home in October 2020.
The 2012 white Chevrolet Impala was discovered in a pond off State Road 44, between Pioneer Trail and State Road 415. The Volusia County Sheriff's Dive team is in the water trying to recover the vehicle.

*** UPDATE 4/8 8:47 P.M ***
The car has been removed from the water, with one deceased occupant discovered inside. While positive ID has not officially been made, the Port Orange Police Department has been in contact with Mr. Heikka’s family.
