The 2023 Speedweeks are here, and city officials are expecting thousands of people to flock to the Daytona International Speedway between now and February 19. With this in mind, authorities have urged non-race goers to avoid the roads surrounding the Speedway, particularly International Speedway Boulevard (ISB), Williamson Boulevard, Midway Avenue, Bill France Boulevard, Fentress Boulevard, Richard Petty Boulevard, and Clyde Morris Boulevard.
Alternate routes are recommended, including Beville Road, Ridgewood Avenue (U.S. 1), and Mason Avenue. For those traveling north or south, authorities suggest opting for Atlantic Avenue (S.R. A1A), Clyde Morris Boulevard, Nova Road (S.R. 5A), or Ridgewood Avenue (U.S. 1) instead of I-95 or Williamson Boulevard.
To manage the increased traffic and ensure public safety, the Daytona Beach Police Department will have an increased law enforcement presence in the area throughout the weekend.
