The Port Orange Police Department is searching for more potential victims and witnesses in a case against Steve Parker, 52, of Daytona Beach Shores, for impersonating a contractor during a State Emergency.
A complaint filed with the Port Orange Police Department against Parker on September 20, 2023, sparked the investigation into Parker's activities. According to a release from the City of Port Orange, Parker was arrested Wednesday on charges of Impersonating a Contractor During a State Emergency, Organized Scheme to Defraud exceeding $50,000, and Fraudulent Use of Personal Identification.
Individuals who believe they may have been affected by Parker's actions are strongly encouraged to contact Port Orange Police Detective James Fischetti at 386-506-5897 or via email at jfischetti@port-orange.org.
For those who engaged Parker for home improvement projects and have concerns about the quality of the work, you can schedule an inspection through the City's Building Department by contacting them at 386-506-5602 or emailing buildingpermits@port-orange.org.
