Hands-On Learning at Beginner Beekeeping Workshop

Aspiring beekeepers and enthusiasts can join a comprehensive beginner beekeeping workshop from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 6. The class will be held at the Volusia County UF/IFAS Extension Office, 3100 E. New York Ave., DeLand, and lunch will be provided.
Participants will learn various aspects of beekeeping including honeybee biology, essential equipment, tips for getting started, managing honeybees throughout the seasons, and more. Registration for the workshop is open now on Eventbrite, at www.bit.ly/BeginningBeekeeperWorkshop, with a fee of $30 per attendee.
