Fifth Grade Students and Families Invited to Middle School Expo

Volusia’s middle schools are opening their campuses to rising sixth graders and their families Feb. 15 through March 1. Middle school students, teachers and principals will be on hand for tours and to talk about the exciting programs available at the middle school level. Parents will be able to ask questions, get details about special programs and learn how current students felt about transitioning to middle school.

In Port Orange, Creekside Middle School, 6801 Airport Road, will welcome their future middle school families Thursday, Feb. 22. The open house event will be held at Silver Sands Middle School, 1300 Herbert St., on Tuesday, Feb. 27. Both open houses will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
