Diamond Cleaners Port Orange ruined my gold Velvet top on November 7-11, 2025 and would not compensate me for the damage! I brought my gold Vince velvet top (original retail price $425) to Diamond Cleaners Port Orange around November 6, 2025 for a simple cleaning. What I got back on November 12 was a ruined garment: the velvet is now matted and irregular, with clear, uneven demarcations from what looks like improper heat treatment or pressing. The once-luxurious texture is completely flattened in patches, making it unwearable and impossible to restore. This WAS NOT a crushed velvet top. It was once smooth, fluffy, luxurious gold velvet, even in both tone and texture.

I explained the issue to the owner, who argued with me that there is no damage, and even tried to claim it is the lighting and talk me out of my damage claim. He offered no acknowledgement of their error, no apology and only a refund of my dry-cleaning costs if I sign a waiver of my right to pursue damages. He also threatened to suit me for slander if I posted evidence of their damage to my velvet garment online. Outrageous!

This isn’t just extremely poor customer service; it’s negligence that has cost me hundreds of dollars. Do not trust them with anything, especially valuable or delicate items. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere and advise that others do the same.
