Beginning Wednesday, September 27, construction will commence on the center median of Dunlawton Avenue, specifically in front of the recently established Stor-It Self Storage site, for approximately three weeks. The work will primarily occur from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. to minimize disruption to regular traffic flow.
During weekdays, commuters should be aware that the inside lanes in the eastbound and westbound directions will be temporarily closed to facilitate the construction process.
Electronic signage will be in place to inform the public about the ongoing construction and any relevant updates near the Oak Street and Dunlawton Avenue and Spruce Creek Road and Dunlawton Avenue intersections.
During the median work, four existing Crepe Myrtles will be carefully removed and replanted in front of the Eastport Business Park monument sign at the southeast corner of Spruce Creek Road and Dunlawton Avenue. This strategic relocation aims to preserve and enhance the greenery in the area while ensuring the smooth progression of the construction activities.
