Votran Schedule Changes for October Weekend Events.

With the anticipated traffic due to the Biketoberfest and Trucktoberfest events for the next two weekends, some Votran routes have changed.
Biketoberfest is taking place this coming weekend (October 15 thru 18), and Trucktoberfest is taking place next weekend (October 23-25). During these dates, Votran routes will be adjusted, with regular service resuming temporarily October 19-22, and full-service routes will resume October 26.
With heavy event traffic forecasted Votran riders should expect some delays, interruptions, and route detours.
October 15-18 detours will take effect at 11 a.m. and be in effect until the end of the daily operations.
October 23-25 detours will take effect at 10 a.m. and be in effect until the end of the daily operations.
The following route changes will be in effect during the specified dates and times:
Daytime routes
- A shuttle bus will operate along A1A between University Avenue and Silver Beach Avenue and to the Intermodal Transfer Plaza (ITF.) Passengers can connect with Routes 1, 18, 19 at University and A1A and with Routes 17A/B at Silver Beach and A1A or the Transfer Plaza. The shuttle bus will not enter the ITF.
- Routes 1, 8, 18 and 19
- Buses will not use ITF. Passengers should wait on A1A for the shuttle bus to make connections. Route 8 will stay on Halifax Avenue.
- Route 1
- Outbound: Left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, right on US 1, right on Mason Avenue, left on Halifax Avenue, right on University Avenue, left on A1A to regular routing. No service to the ITF.
- Inbound: No Service in the ITF. From A1A, right on Seabreeze Boulevard, left on US 1, left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard to the Transfer Plaza. For travel on A1A, board the shuttle bus at A1A and Seabreeze Boulevard.
- Route 8
- Outbound: Right on Palmetto Avenue, left on Orange Avenue, left on Peninsula Drive, left on International Speedway Boulevard, right on Halifax Avenue to regular routing. The bus will stay on Halifax Avenue and will not service the ITF.
- Inbound: The bus will stay on Halifax Avenue and will not service the ITF. From Halifax Avenue, left on International Speedway Boulevard, right on Peninsula Drive, right on Orange Avenue, right on Palmetto Avenue to the Transfer Plaza.
- Route 11A/B
- Outbound (11A/B): Left on Palmetto Avenue, left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, right on US 1, right on Fairview Avenue, left on Beach Street.
- Outbound (11A): From International Speedway Boulevard, right on Williamson Boulevard to regular routing. Route 11A will not serve Thames, Fentress, or the Flea Market. Passengers going west of Williamson should use Route 60.
- Inbound (11A/B): From Beach Street, right on Fairview Avenue, left on US 1, left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, right into the Transfer Plaza.
- Route 17A/B
- Outbound: Right on Palmetto Avenue, left on Orange Avenue, right on A1A.
- Inbound: From A1A, left on Silver Beach Avenue, right on Palmetto Avenue to the Transfer Plaza.
- Route 18
- Inbound: From A1A, right on Seabreeze Boulevard, left on US 1, left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard to the Transfer Plaza. No service to the ITF. For travel on A1A, board the shuttle bus at A1A and Seabreeze Boulevard.
- Route 19
- Outbound: Left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, right on US 1, right on Mason Avenue, left on Halifax Avenue, right on University Avenue, left on A1A. No service to the ITF. Passengers needing to travel between the Transfer Plaza and University and A1A should use the shuttle bus.
Night and Sunday Service
- Night and Sunday Service will start and end at the Transfer Plaza and will not go into the ITF.
- A shuttle bus will operate along A1A between University Avenue and Silver Beach Avenue and to the Transfer Plaza. Passengers can connect with Route 1 at University Avenue and A1A and with Route 17 at Silver Beach and A1A or the Transfer Plaza. The shuttle bus will not enter the ITF.
- Route 1
- Outbound: Left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, right on US 1, right on Mason Avenue, left on Halifax Avenue, right on University Avenue, left on A1A to regular routing. No Service in the ITF. The route will end at Vining Court and Granada Boulevard. The bus will not travel over the Granada Bridge; passengers should make connections with Route 3 at the Transfer Plaza
- Inbound: From A1A, right on Seabreeze Boulevard, left on US 1, left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard to the Transfer Plaza. No service to the ITF.
- Route 3
- Outbound: Left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, right on US 1.
- Inbound: Reverse routing.
- Route 4
- Outbound: Left on Palmetto Avenue, left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, left on US 1.
- Inbound: Reverse routing.
- Route 10N
- Outbound: Left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, right on US 1, left on Fairview Avenue.
- Inbound: Reverse routing.
- Route 10S
- Outbound: Left on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard to regular routing.
- Inbound: The bus will continue on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard to the Transfer Plaza.
- Route 15
- Outbound: Right on Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Boulevard, right on Palmetto Avenue, right on Orange Avenue to regular routing.
- Inbound: From Orange Avenue, left on Palmetto Avenue to the Transfer Plaza.
- Route 17N
- Outbound: Right on Palmetto Avenue, left on Orange Avenue, right on A1A, to regular routing. The bus will end at Raymond and South Atlantic. There will be no service over the Dunlawton Bridge; passengers should make connections with Route 4 at the Transfer Plaza.
- Inbound: From A1A, left on Silver Beach Avenue, right on Palmetto Avenue to Transfer Plaza.
