Volusia County Schools offers two advanced programs for its students and has announced the Advanced Programs application window is now open and ends on January 31.

- International Baccalaureate (IB) Program at Spruce Creek High School and Deland High School
- Cambridge International AICE at Deltona High School, New Smyrna Beach High School, Pine Ridge High School, Seabreeze High School, and University High School
The IB and Cambridge AICE allows students to earn college credit while in high school, providing them the chance to receive an international diploma award. Students will become more marketable for university acceptance and attain a Bright Futures Scholarship with the diploma.
To apply, students must meet the following requirements:

- The Cambridge and International Application 2022 will appear for parents under their child’s name in the left-side menu on their Parent Portal.
- Select the Cambridge or International school program you want.
- You may make only one choice.
- If a student's zoned school offers their program of choice, they must attend the program at their zoned school.
- The guardian or student will receive a confirmation email to the email address on file for the Parent Portal account once the application is submitted.
