Veterans of the Year Tribute is set for Saturday, June 4.

The City of Daytona Beach City Commissioner Stacy Cantu, Senator Tom Wright, and other dignitaries will be honoring eight local veterans with a special tribute at the Daytona Beach Oceanfront Bandshell located on the Boardwalk in Daytona Beach starting at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 4.

The eight local veterans to be recognized during the tribute are:

  • Kim Gadson - U.S. Army
  • Joe LaTorre -U.S. Army
  • Rolf Mattar - U.S. Marines
  • Philip Peickert – Army National Guard
  • Jose Rosa - U.S. Air Force
  • Vincent Terry - Army National Guard
  • John T. Vaccaro - U.S. Marines
  • Larry Wells -U.S. Army

 

Attendees of the event can enjoy the singing of the national anthem, a patriotic flyover followed by a free concert at 7:15 p.m. by Fleetwood Max, a Fleetwood Mac Tribute band, sponsored by Friends of the Bandshell, the Boardwalk Merchants, and the City of Daytona Beach. Fireworks over the ocean will follow the concert at about 9:45 p.m.
