The Valiant Air Command Warbird Air Museum is planning its open house event for Veteran’s Day weekend on November 13 and 14 this year, following the theme of “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles.” Admission to the open house event is free for all active duty, retired or separated military, and Florida residents.
The museum will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, with grilled hotdogs, hamburgers, and drinks available for purchase. Museum staff asks all attendees to bring in a canned food donation for a local Veteran’s charity.
According to a release, many veteran pilots that flew these venerable aircrafts will be on hand to talk about their flying experiences. Guests can enjoy operating train layouts, radio-controlled aircrafts, desktop flight simulators, as well as club members building and showing models. Hot rods, custom, and antique cars will also be on display.
