UPDATE: Fuel Farm Fight in Ormond Beach

On Tuesday, February 6, the Volusia County Council voted 5-2 against a formal moratorium that would have paused development in all heavy industrial zones within the county. Residents asked for the moratorium until August to allow time for the town and county to revisit and modernize its land development codes that haven't been updated in over a decade and to temporarily stop the proposed Belvedere fuel terminal in Ormond Beach.
