Tropical Depression 13 has Florida in Forecast Cone.

According to the National Weather Service out of Melbourne and the National Hurricane Center in Miami, Tropical Depression 13 has formed late Wednesday/early Thursday over the Atlantic Ocean.

As of the 11 a.m. update, the forecast cone for Tropical Depression 13 has its sights set on Florida. Parts of southern and central Florida are in the cone, but there is no telling what the effects the storm will have on the state, just yet.

Currently, TD 13 has current sustained winds of 35 miles per hour and moving at 21 miles per hour.

Tropical Depression 14 is also being watched by the NWS and NHC, as it further develops over the Caribbean Sea. TD 14 is forecasted to head for the coast of Texas. Whichever storm develops first will be named Laura, while the other will be named Marco.

Current models show the TD 13 to be near Florida early next week. There is a 98% chance of further development within the next 48-hours, according to the Hurricane Center.
