The city of Port Orange has announced two locations where sandbags are to begin being distributed starting today for Tropical Storm Isaias.
According to a release, sandbag locations include:
- The Adult Center on Ridgewood Ave.
- The Coraci Sports Complex off Coraci BLvd.
Both locations will be open today from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and tomorrow from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., or until supplies run out.
Bags will be provided by the city, but residents are responsible to fill the bags and should bring shovels. If residents bring bags, please make sure they are small trash bags and are double bagged.
There is a limit of 12 bags per household. Residents must show proof of Port Orange residency to get sandbags.
