Port Orange man charged with premeditated and attempted murder.

The Port Orange Police Department has announced that 19-year-old Mckenzy Nazien of Port Orange has been formally charged with premeditated murder and attempted murder concerning the death of 22-year-old Ta’ronn Brown on September 1, 2022.
On Friday, July 21, 2023, around 2:30 p.m., Mckenzy Nazien was taken into custody and is currently held at the Volusia County Branch Jail. The suspect also faces unrelated armed robbery charges, which the Port Orange Police Department filed. In light of the murder charges, no bond has been set for Mckenzy Nazien, ensuring the suspect remains in custody while awaiting trial.
