Port Orange domestic dispute ends in fatal double shooting.

A distressing incident unfolded Wednesday evening when the Port Orange Police Department responded to a shooting at the Sanctuary at Westport Apartments, at 5400 Coraci Boulevard in Port Orange, around 7:20 p.m.
The Investigation's preliminary findings indicate that the shooting resulted from a domestic disturbance that escalated between a stepfather and his adult stepdaughter. The altercation took a dire turn when the male suspect discharged a firearm, striking the adult female, before turning the weapon on himself.
Both individuals were in critical condition and transported to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach. Regrettably, the male suspect's injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
According to the Police Department, the female victim continues to receive medical attention at the hospital.
