The City of Port Orange has announced a partnership with SeeClickFix, a new platform that allows citizens to request city services and report quality-of-life issues.
According to a release, the new platform is one of the features of the city’s new website that replaces the existing Citizen Request Tracker by providing enhanced mobile accessibility and internal efficiency for responding to citizen concerns. The free SeeClickFix app and web tools let citizens provide city staff with pictures, specific descriptions, and information relevant to their reports. In addition, the SeeClickFix platform provides the city with a centralized management system to manage concerns from creation to resolution — engaging citizens throughout the process.
“This partnership not only provides City of Port Orange citizens the opportunity to report concerns, but they can create their own watch areas to receive notifications about all the issues reported in their community, enabling them to follow the progress of all service requests, not just the ones they report,” said Port Orange Mayor, Don Burnette. “With SeeClickFix, this platform will allow us to be more efficient and create a more transparent city government.”
