Port Orange Police Department responds to fatal motorcycle crash.

On Tuesday, March 7, 2023, just before 10 p.m., the Port Orange Police Department responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a single motorcyclist at U.S. 1 and Katherine Street in Port Orange. Port Orange Fire Rescue also aided police officers on the scene, where they pronounced the male driver deceased.
The motorcyclist's identity is being withheld until notification is provided to the next of kin. The Port Orange Police Department's Traffic Homicide Unit is conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident.
