Holly Hill Police Department investigating the homicide of a 24-year-old.

The Holly Hill Police Department, in conjunction with the Volusia County Deputies and the Daytona Beach Police Department, responded to a report of a person shot on March 29, 2023, at approximately 12:15 p.m. at 1757 N. Nova Road Unit 107 in Holly Hill.
According to a release, after arriving at the scene officers learned that the victim, identified as 24-year-old Lawrence Davis, had been taken to Advent Hospital in Daytona Beach by family members for medical treatment before being transported by ambulance under a trauma alert to Halifax Hospital, in Daytona Beach, where Davis, unfortunately, succumbed to his injuries.
The Police Department has classified this case as a homicide, and a person of interest has been identified. The Holly Hill Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding this incident to contact Investigator Andrew Barrett at 386-248-9486 or via email at abarrett@hollyhillfl.org.
