Heritage Day - Digitize Your History
The New Smyrna Museum of History will host Heritage Day on Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Emory Bennett Park. As part of the event, the museum is offering its first-ever History Harvest where you can bring photos, newspaper articles, family letters, and even small objects to have them digitized for free. You will be able to take your items home with you along with a thumb drive of the digital images free of charge.
Do you have a story to share about your family’s past here in Florida? You can sign up to capture an oral history as part of the History Harvest. Those interested in participating are encouraged to bring small family items that they can show while sharing their families story on video, in an Antiques Roadshow type oral history capture. Please fill out the applicable form below, print the screen to save a copy of your completed form to bring with you that day, and then submit the form.
Individual Release Form for those wanting to digitize.
