Luke Pinkard, 26, of Adairsville, GA, was arrested Tuesday at the Tanger Outlets in Daytona Beach on charges of video voyeurism following an unsettling encounter in the dressing room of a store.
According to police, an unsuspecting shopper was changing clothes in a dressing room when she discovered a distinctive three-camera array, reminiscent of the newer iPhone models, peering over the top of her changing stall. The woman promptly alerted a store employee about the intrusive device, who notified the Daytona Beach Police Department.
When officers arrived and confronted the suspect, Pinkard allegedly responded by offering to destroy his phone, promising never to engage in such behavior again, before being taken into custody. He later posted a $5,000 bond and was released from the Volusia County Branch Jail.
Further investigation into Pinkard's background revealed that the suspect is already facing a similar charge in Georgia.
