The City of Ormond Beach has announced the temporary closure of the Environmental Discovery Center, starting Monday, April 24, 2023, to complete the construction of the EDC's new aquarium centerpiece.
The Environmental Discovery Center is a 2,000-square-foot facility that provides visitors with a glimpse into the diverse ecosystems of Ormond Beach, specifically Central Park. The facility is self-guided and serves as a hub for programming and special events designed to educate visitors and provide a hands-on experience with these ecosystems.
The center is scheduled to reopen to the public during the week of May 1, 2023.
