A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Friday, June 24 at 11 a.m. to celebrate the official opening of Edwin W. Peck Sr. Park located at 3167 S. Atlantic Avenue in Daytona Beach Shores.

According to a release, since moving to Volusia County in 1968, Peck has developed or marketed over 30 condominium projects and has established himself as a real estate industry leader and legendary force for economic development, community service, and job creation.

The new county-maintained beachfront park will feature over 100 parking spaces, restroom facilities, a playground, fitness stations, showers, bike racks, grills, turtle-friendly lighting, and an ADA-accessible dune walkover.
