Title I funding provides financial assistance to schools with a high percentage of children from low-income families and helps ensure all students have the opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and achieve proficiency on challenging state academic standards. Benefits include targeted support for high-need students, reducing achievement gaps, supplemental instructional programs, professional development for teachers, parental involvement programs, instructional materials, technology resources, early childhood education, accountability and reporting measures, and hiring additional staff.
