After a similar evacuation to Daytona State College in Daytona Beach back in January, the school has once again received another ‘Specific Threat’.
Officials at Daytona State College in Daytona Beach took to Twitter to announce that the school has been evacuated due to a ‘Specific Threat’, that allegedly spread on social media Tuesday.
"Due to a specific threat on the Daytona Beach Campus, we are asking that all students, faculty, and staff immediately evacuate the Daytona Beach Campus until further notice. Law enforcement is on the scene investigating." the school tweeted to the social media page, just before 1 p.m.
Law Enforcement is still currently on the scene investigating the threat to the campus.
Just after 2 p.m. officials released an update regarding the threat that was made included threats of shooting and violence.
According to a tweet, Police have determined the school may safely reopen. Staff may return to campus now. Students may resume classes at 3 p.m.
