Daytona Beach Shores residents may return to beachside structures removed from unsafe building notice.

After a long list of beachside structures in Daytona Beach Shores was placed on an unsafe building notice following Hurricane Nicole due to the Chief Building Official having to review the structure’s integrity.

Over the weekend, the Chief Building Official received reports from the structural engineer of the damaged structures within the city and began removing the unsafe building notices, allowing residents to return to their property.

The list of buildings removed from the unsafe building notice are:

 

  • Castaways Beach Resort, located at 2043 S. Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach Shores. 
  • Curran Shores South, located at 3615 S. Atlantic Avenue in Daytona Beach Shores.
  • Opus Condominium located at 2071 South Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach Shores.
  • Sanibel Condominium located at 3799 South Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach Shores. 
  • Sunglow Resort, located at 3647 South Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach Shores.
  • St. Kitts Condominium located at 2855 South Atlantic Avenue Daytona Beach Shores. 
  • The Dimucci Tower, located at 3797 South Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach Shores.
  • The Holiday Inn Express, located at 3301 S. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach Shores. 
  • The Sherwin Condominium located at 2555 South Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach Shores.
  • Towers Grande, located at 2055 South Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach Shores.
  • Twin Towers North & South, located at 3311 and 3315 South Atlantic Avenue, Daytona Beach Shores.
