Daylight Saving Time Watering Schedule Change Begins March 10
Daylight Saving Time not only brings longer days and warmer weather, but also changes to Volusia County's watering schedule. As part of the ongoing commitment to responsible water use and conservation, Volusia County is implementing watering schedules for residential and business properties, starting Sunday, March 10, and ending Sunday, November 3. Below are the guidelines that apply to all county residents, including those living inside city limits:
Residential Irrigation:
- Odd-numbered addresses may irrigate from 4 p.m. to 10 a.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
- Even-numbered addresses may irrigate from 4 p.m. to 10 a.m. on Thursdays and Sundays.
Business Irrigation:
- Businesses may irrigate from 4 p.m. to 10 a.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Changes apply to all water sources, including private wells, surface water, and water from public and private utilities, except for reclaimed water (see your reclaimed water provider for any restrictions). Volusia County remains committed to water conservation efforts, and cooperation from the community is essential in ensuring sustainable water use during Daylight Saving Time.
