Two workshops are scheduled in January for organizations wishing to apply for a Volusia County Community Cultural Grant hosted by the Cultural Council of Volusia County.
The workshops will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, in the second-floor conference room at Daytona Beach Shores Community Center, 3000 Bellemead Drive, in Daytona Beach Shores, and at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 19, in the first-floor training rooms of the Thomas C. Kelly Administration Center, 123 W. Indiana Avenue in DeLand.
According to a release, an organization representative must attend one of the two scheduled workshops to be eligible to apply for the grant. The Community Cultural Grant provides general operating support to nonprofit organizations in Volusia County whose primary mission is to deliver cultural or heritage-based programs to the public.
More than $611,000 was awarded to thirty-two organizations in 2022. The application submission deadline and grant scoring date are up to the Cultural Council and will be announced when available. Grant award recommendations will go to the Volusia County Council for review and award approval.
