Congratulations to the Spruce Creek Hawks, winning the 2016 District 1-8A Championship
Congratulations to the Spruce Creek Hawks, winning the 2016 District 1-8A Championship on last night’s three team shootout. In the first game, Spruce Creek beat Jacksonville Sandalwood 20-13 and then an hour later, beat Jacksonville Mandarin 3-0 to win the championship outright on Trevor Fournier’s 20 yard field goal to clinch the title.
Now as the opening round of state playoffs begin on November 11, the Hawks will again host the Lake Brantley Patriots, whom they defeated back in August in the Kickoff Classic game to open the season, also played at home in Port Orange. Spruce Creek has now won six games in a row and has now positioned themselves as a team no one wants to play.
Congratulations to Head Coach Andy Price and his staff, and all the players. . . . . .The Spruce Creek Hawks. . . . .The 2016 1-8A District Champions! GO HAWKS!!!!!
