With Biketoberfest 2020 upon us, even with some traditional events not taking place this year, the City of Daytona Beach is still preparing for the onslaught of bikers that they are expecting for this upcoming weekend.

While Biketoberfest will have a different look and feel, bikers are still expected, and the Daytona Beach Police Department has preparations in place to ensure a safe environment for Biketoberfest participants and residents.

According to a release, DBPD will have established safety and traffic control measures, including motorcycle-only traffic patterns, in effect on Main Street during peak hours. Police will also enforce designated residential parking restrictions and issue violations for excessive noise from loud pipes.

Prominent signage will be used to promote the countywide “Step Up Volusia” campaign, which reminds people of the CDC’s guidelines to “Wash Up. Back up. Mask up,”

The official start of Biketoberfest is Thursday, October 15.
