The Volusia County's Growth and Resource Management Department has announced a centralized permitting center will open on Friday, February 10, 2023. The permitting center will feature staff from the Zoning, Building, and Environmental Management divisions and will operate from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays until further notice.
The center will expedite the permitting processes for temporary and permanent repairs due to the damage caused by recent hurricanes in the area. Homeowners, engineers, and contractors can review permitting plans, ask questions, and get the help they need.
The centralized permitting center will be at the Volusia County Government Building, 440 S. Beach Street in Daytona Beach. Walk-in customers are welcome, and appointments are not required.
This new initiative from Volusia County's Growth and Resource Management Department is a positive step towards supporting the local community and streamlining the permitting process for hurricane-related repairs.
For more information about the services offered at the centralized permitting center, interested parties can call 386-822-5013.
