Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is calling all space explorers to celebrate Holidays in Space, beginning Friday, December 16, through December 30, 2022.
Upon arriving through the gates at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, guests can enjoy the wonder of the festive holiday décor that has taken over. Some decor throughout the Complex includes a 50-foot tree with more than 61,000 pixels of light, multiple six-foot-tall astronaut nutcrackers, and the return of the NASA meatball turned holiday ornament.
Other festive events around the complex include roaming street performances by a singing duo, a comedy act in joyful outfits helping to spread holiday cheer, mini golf, corn hole, and connect four (located at the pavilion next to Space Shuttle Atlantis).
According to a release, this year’s Holidays in Space will feature a brand-new projection mapping show called Starflake’s Holiday Voyage outside of Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex, a unique projection mapping show that will take guests on a six-minute-long journey through the stars, earth, and beyond, showcasing familiar places throughout the journey - including the Vehicle Assembly Building, Artemis, International Space Station, James Webb Space Telescope and more. Starflake's Holiday Voyage will play nightly throughout the Holidays in Space event.
Holidays in Space is included with general admission tickets to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, which will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. December 16 through 24, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. December 26 through 30. For more information, visit https://www.kennedyspacecenter.com/.
