‘Vax Up’ Event Scheduled For April 19

Volusia County has partnered with the Florida Department of Health to schedule a special "Vax Up" vaccine event from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, April 19, at the Volusia County Fairgrounds in DeLand.
The Moderna vaccine will be administered, with an automatic appointment for a second dose on May 17.
Registration for this event is online through Eventbrite; to sign up, visit
https://covidvaccine4-19.eventbrite.com. Appointments are required.
Registration will close at 4 p.m. Friday, April 16.
According to a release, the state continues to schedule appointments for vaccines at the Volusia County Fairgrounds through myvaccine.fl.gov. The website now offers a streamlined scheduling platform for eligible, preregistered users. Rather than receiving a call to schedule an appointment, preregistered individuals should log in to the site to schedule their appointment from available dates and times.
Individuals may also opt-in to receive email and text appointment confirmations, reminders, and messages, as well as self-report if they have been vaccinated and no longer need an appointment.
